Joining a course Redbridge Institute runs a variety of courses. Some of these courses require you to have an interview with the teaching staff before you can enrol on the course. These courses are identified on our course fact sheets or if you contact Reception on 020 8550 2398 or enquiries@redbridge-iae.ac.uk
Having an interview is to help you join the right course. Most courses that need an interview are courses that lead to formal vocational qualifications for work. The interview may involve any of the following...
- a discussion with yourself and a member of teaching staff to give you advice about studying on the course
- the amount of private study you have to do in your own time
- any additional costs you may incur on the course
- any work experience that will be required
- confirming any previous qualifications you have obtained
- whether you need a CRB check to enrol on the course
- confirming your details, which many include confirmation of your residency status
- a short assessment to identify your current level of experience and see what extra support you might need
The advice will be impartial and should you wish to receive further information, particularly about job search skills an appointment can be made with one of our specialist learning advisers.
