New lease of life for old computers

Over the years we've donated our old computers to Computer Aid, a charity based in North London who refurbish them and install them into education, health, agriculture and not-for-profit organisations in developing countries.

We've just been sent an update on how our computers have helped transform communties. Click here to see what a different they've made.

New Computer Courses in the Community

We now have a number of new computer courses available for enrolment a 3 community centres: Mildmay NLC (Ilford); Orchard Children's Centre (Woodford Green) and Hainault Community Association. For more information click on the fact sheets for each centre below.

New Pottery Tutors

Redbridge Institute is pleased to announce the arrival of three new pottery tutors who will bring an international flavour to our courses. All three tutors are established art practitioners with current websites, why not look them up?

Catrine Ballie is originally from France and will be teaching our beginners course on Monday mornings, she is also interested in sculpture and stone carving.

Maria Alvarez-Echenique is from Spain and will be teaching our pottery and ceramics course on Monday evenings. She has been teaching in England since 1997 and has been involved with number of projects and art courses. Using porcelain is a characteristic of her sculptural work.

Frixos Papantoniou is from Cyprus and will be teaching our pottery mixed ability class, Frixos is a practicing artist and has worked for many years in other boroughs, and will be well known to many learners already.
