How will this course benefit me?
This course will be taught by an enthusiastic, practising artist and will give you the opportunity to explore your own artistic ability and gain confidence in valuable practical skills.
What are the entry requirements?
This course is suitable for beginners and those who have some watercolour skills, but would like to learn how to paint woodland scenes.
What will I learn?
The wet-on-wet technique, some detailed work and colour mixing.
How to use these techniques to paint woodland scenes.
How will the course be delivered?
Practical demonstrations, with one-to-one guidance and support and continuous feedback throughout the day.
How will my learning be assessed?
Verbal feedback at all times, with support at each stage of the process.
What are the extra costs?
Please bring with you:
A basic set of watercolour paints – i.e. cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow and a permanent magenta or an alizarin red. A plastic water pot (NOT glass) and nylon brushes sizes 6 and 10. Watercolour paper pad size A4 or A3, plus a 2B pencil and a graphite rubber.
