Edible gardening for springtime

How will this course benefit me?

This course will explore gardening in the Spring and what’s need to make your garden a thing of beauty. You will learn about soil and ground preparation, temperature and other plant needs, and how to sow various seeds. You will deepen your knowledge of how to plan and maintain an edible garden, utilising greenhouses and other gardening resources.


What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry qualifications for this course; however, you will need an interest in the subject and a willingness to participate in class discussions and activities.


What will I learn?

You will learn how to maintain and develop an edible garden.   


How will the course be delivered?

Demonstration by tutor, class and group activities.  Learning will be of a practical nature and could include group and individual work.


How will my learning be assessed?

By participation in class activities and discussions.


What are the extra costs?

There are no extra costs, but you may wish to purchase refreshments - available in the Gearies café or you may bring your own.

Standard classroom low level risk.

You will not be able to participate in certain activities unless you are wearing appropriate footwear.
