Edible gardening for summertime

How will this course benefit me?

This course will build on ‘Edible Gardening for Springtime,’ exploring more robust planting, tending and maintaining of a variety of plants, including fruits and vegetables. You will also learn how to harvest produce, how it can be stored and what it can be used for.


What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry qualifications for this course; however, you will need an interest in the subject and a willingness to participate in class discussions and activities.


What will I learn?

You will learn how to plant, tend and maintain plants and how to harvest produce.   


How will the course be delivered?

Demonstration by tutor, class and group activities, learning will be of a practical nature and could include group and individual work.


How will my learning be assessed?

By participation in class activities and discussions.


What are the extra costs?

There are no extra costs, but you may wish to purchase refreshments - available in the Gearies café or you may bring your own.

Standard classroom low level risk.

You will not be able to participate in certain activities unless you are wearing appropriate footwear.
