Stained glass panel. The surface decoration was created using a sgraffito technique. This involves covering the entire surface of the glass with an even layer of paint, a Matte. Once the paint has dried the design is made by removing / scratching through the paint to reveal the underlying glass. The painted glass is then fired in the kiln. Finally, the panel was ‘leaded up’.
