How can we support you?
Safeguarding and Wellbeing
If you have any safeguarding concerns about yourself or someone at the Institute, you can report it to our safeguarding team. safeguarding@redbridge-iae.ac.uk
Laptop loan scheme
Laptops are available for learners who do not have access to one at home. Discuss your IT needs with your tutor who will advise you on how to apply.
Financial support
If you are enrolled on a vocational course and need financial support for materials, equipment, travel costs, childcare etc. you can apply for financial support (subject to criteria and assessment)
In-class and online support
If you feel that you need additional support in class or for online lessons, discuss with your tutor who can advise on the support that there is available.
English, maths and IT support
Talk to your tutor if you need help improving your English, maths or IT skills. They will be able to advise on any additional courses or workshops that you can attend to improve your skills.
Study Skills advice
If you are struggling with keeping up with your course work, your tutor can advise you on ways to improve your study skills.
Dyslexia screening
Our Learning Support team can make arrangements for a dyslexia screening. Your class tutor will be able to advise if you need one and can arrange one for you.
Assistive equipment and mobility support
There are a number equipment that you can borrow which can help improve your learning experience. Discuss your needs with your tutor who can advise on the available equipment
Career advice and guidance
Our Employability team will be able to help you with career advice, suggest employability workshops and training and support you in your job search. Contact employability@redbridge-iae.ac.uk to book a one-to-one appointment.
Exam access arrangements and concessions
Talk to your tutor if you are entitled to special access arrangements and concessions when taking your exams.
