London, Redbridge [4th June 2024]. Redbridge Institute of Adult Education today announced it has entered into a strategic partnership with the Mary Ward Centre to preserve and enhance access to creative arts across East London.
We are delighted to announce that Redbridge Institute of Adult Education and the Mary Ward Centre are entering into a new formal strategic partnership to improve access to creative arts learning across the east of London.
This exciting partnership will mean a much wider range of creative arts courses are on offer to both existing and prospective students – meaning that even more people will be able to benefit. The partnership, which will come into effect from the new academic year in September 2024, will deliver courses at both Gants Hill and Stratford.
“Rather than compete for limited arts funding and declining student numbers, the two specialist adult education Institutions have entered into a partnership agreement. Mary Ward will take over the current programme of creative arts courses, currently run by Redbridge Institute, allowing a coordinated portfolio to be delivered across both sites in Stratford and Gants Hill”, explains Principal, William Pickford. “Through this collaboration, both Institutes will be working together to reach new audiences to raise awareness and promote the uptake of creative arts.”
“Mary Ward is one of London’s Specialist Institutes for Adult Learning, and with our brand-new building in Stratford, East London, we are delighted to be able to provide a wide range of creative arts courses”, says Therese Reinheimer-Jones, CEO, Mary Ward Settlement. “We are so pleased to be working with Redbridge Institute, where together, we can continue to offer high-quality teaching and facilities to support the skills development for local residents in the creative arts sector which is thriving and growing in East London.”
