Our recent Staff Inset Day was nothing short of inspiring. From the moment staff arrived for their first cup of tea in the café, the atmosphere buzzed with energy, curiosity, and camaraderie. Staff collected their wellbeing tickets and settled in, ready for a day designed not just for professional development, but for connection, reflection, and a bit of fun.

The day officially began in the Lecture Theatre with a warm welcome and a briefing from the SLT, setting the tone for a morning of learning and exploration. One of the highlights was Communication Coaching with Jenna Dominique, where staff delved into our core values and explored different communication styles. The session sparked lively discussions, self-reflection, and practical takeaways that will strengthen teamwork and support across the school.

After a refreshing lunch in the café, the afternoon offered experiences that were both engaging and unexpected. Some staff immersed themselves in the Harrods Tea Tasting Experience, learning to identify five distinct teas and savoring the subtle differences in aroma and flavour. Meanwhile, others found themselves on the dance floor with Jemma Bicknell from Community Action Redbridge, picking up dance moves in just fifteen minutes and sharing plenty of laughter along the way. The day ended on a high note with a fun quiz that tested knowledge, encouraged friendly competition, and left everyone smiling.

Our Staff Inset Day was a reminder of what makes our community thrive: incredible people who bring energy, openness, and a commitment to learning and supporting each other. It was a day to grow, reflect, connect, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of our team.
