To celebrate international Women’s Day, ADANNA are hosting a seminar on 18th March 2023 from 10:00 AM- 2:30 PM.
The theme is #EmbraceEquity and the event focuses on promoting the importance of women entrepreneurs and presenting the struggles women face in business and careers. Women entrepreneurs make up only 1 in 3 UK entrepreneurs are female: a gender gap equivalent to 1.1 million missing businesses. (Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship, HM Treasury 2019). The lack of support and knowledge about entrepreneurship has a significant impact on the number of women who have their own businesses.

The event includes a number of guest speakers who are self-employed and have a vast experience in entrepreneurialism and an insight we can all learn from.

There will also be stalls promoting local and small businesses:
• Dreamy Treats ldn – Delicious baked cakes & treats. (Instagram- dreamy.treatsldn)
• Maria naveed clothing – A local resident of Barking and Dagenham showcasing south asian outfits and jewelry
• Soulnourish- A trained nutritional therapist focusing on menopause nutritional therapy & coaching (Instagram- jeysoulnourish)
• Tahira & Co – henna art and cookies
