We were delighted to welcome colleagues from the Local London Quality Group to Redbridge Institute of Adult Education for our annual moderation of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) — an event that once again highlighted the power of collaboration in driving quality across adult education.
The session brought together quality professionals and education leaders from London boroughs, creating a valuable space for shared reflection, open dialogue, and best-practice exchange. Moderating Self-Assessment Reports collectively allows providers to challenge, validate, and strengthen their evaluations, ensuring they are robust, evidence-based, and fully aligned with Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework.
Throughout the day, discussions focused on:

The atmosphere was both professional and supportive, with colleagues openly sharing insights, challenges, and successes from their respective organisations. These conversations are invaluable in helping us benchmark our practice, identify areas for development, and celebrate what is working well across the sector.
Hosting this event at Redbridge Institute reaffirmed our commitment to continuous improvement and our belief that quality assurance is strongest when approached collectively. By working alongside peers across London, we ensure our self-assessment processes remain rigorous, reflective, and focused on delivering the best possible experiences and outcomes for adult learners.
