Natalia Mamchur
Pre Entry ESOL (BI3002)
Natalia and her husband Mykola have recently arrived from the Ukraine. They completed the English for Everyday course and are now on an adult skills class.
Natalia has 100% punctuality and attendance. She is positive and hard working in every lesson. She supports her husband in the class and is really encouraging. She is very friendly and has built good relationships with other students. She has become much more independent and always revises the work we covered, using her beautifully organised folder. Natalia prepares her questions beforehand if she needs to speak to her tutor after class and doesn’t just rely on Google Translate.
Despite Natalia arriving to the UK with no English language ability and in what must have been very difficult circumstances, she is making fantastic progress and gaining confidence. She is determined to continue her learning journey and would like to progress through the levels. She was a speech therapist in the Ukraine and would like to continue her work here in the UK.
