Redbridge Institute of Adult Education is an Approved Service Provider for Trinity College London to provide English preparation suitable for UKVI approved tests.
For many people hoping to live, work, or study in the United Kingdom, proving English language ability is an essential part of the visa process. Secure English Language Tests – widely known as SELTs – are the official exams approved by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to confirm applicants meet the required standards.
A SELT provides trusted evidence of a person’s ability to communicate in English. The exact test needed depends on the type of visa being applied for. For example, family, settlement, or citizenship routes often require a speaking and listening test at level A1 or B1, while student and skilled worker visas usually demand a higher level, covering reading and writing as well as speaking and listening.
“We are delighted to have been appointed as an Approved Service Provider, which means we can now support local residents pass their English tests for leave to remain and indefinite leave to remain applications.” explained William Pickford, Principal
Examinations are delivered under secure conditions, ensuring results are both fair and reliable. Processing is efficient, with many candidates receiving results within a few days, helping to avoid unnecessary delays in visa applications.
As the UK continues to welcome international students, professionals, and families, the SELT remains a crucial gateway – giving applicants the opportunity to demonstrate their language skills and take the next step toward building a future in Britain.
