Over the past two months, Redbridge Institute learners have dedicated their efforts to creating impactful British Values posters.

As part of an Institute-wide competition, learners were encouraged to showcase British Values creatively through posters to be prominently featured in every classroom across our campuses. Collaborating with their tutors, learners delved into discussions about British Values, resulting in a myriad of intriguing ideas. They were given the freedom to express their creativity through various mediums, be it digital design or hands-on crafting.

The competition received ten entries from various classes:

  • ESOL Pre-Entry – Term A (AI3002A)
  • AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 3 (AQ8705)
  • ESOL Entry 2 – Term A (AI3020A)
  • Preparing to work with children (AU4401)
  • ESOL Entry 2 – Term A (AI3522A)

  • Preparing to work with children – Entry 3 (AU4410)
  • ESOL Entry 2 Next Steps – Term A (AI3526)

  • Childcare (Early Years) Level 1 Award (AU4420)
  • Counselling Studies Level 3 (AQ4466)

  • Childcare (Early Years) Level 1 Award (AU4421)

Our Governors had the challenging task of selecting the winning entry. Our congratulations go to the learners from the Childcare (Early Years) Level 1 Award (AU4421) class, who celebrated their victory in a small gathering before the Christmas break. The prize for their achievement is a full afternoon English tea at the Valentines Mansion café, scheduled for January.

In addition, the Governors acknowledged a Highly Commended entry—the poster from the Counselling Studies Level 3 (AQ4466) course, which garnered the second-highest number of votes.

The winning poster will be digitally reproduced and displayed in classrooms and across our campuses during the upcoming Spring term.

A huge congratulations to our competition winners! Keep an eye out for the captivating posters adorning the classrooms in the near future.
