Our Childcare Level 2 learners, visited Valentines Park to observe the benefits of play.
Read below what one of the learners said about the trip:
“Yesterday, we had an amazing picnic at Valentine’s Park with the whole class to explore the benefits of play for young children. It was both an educational and fun experience, allowing us to engage with nature and learn through play in a relaxed setting. We discovered how important play is for development and how it helps children build essential skills. The beautiful warm weather and peaceful surroundings made it even more enjoyable.
We spent a lot of time in the children’s play area. Watching the children play freely reminded us of the importance of outdoor play for learning and development. We observed how children learn to share and take turns while playing on the swings, slides, and climbing structures. It wasn’t just fun—it was also educational.
We even joined in and enjoyed the slides ourselves, and it made us feel like children again. The play area encouraged physical activity, creativity, and social interaction. We learned how important such spaces are for children’s physical and mental growth.
