Joining in the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Redbridge Institute planted their own Jubilee tree. The apricot tree will be part of the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative, inviting people from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”. Margaret Partridge, Chair of the Governing Body planted the tree in our community garden at the Gearies Centre, Gants Hill during a small gathering attended by staff and learners. The plaque accompanying the tree is produced by the Royal British Legion to commemorate the Queens 70 years on the throne.
