Conversation ClubsThe purpose of the training is to give you the skills you need to lead an ESOL Conversation Club in a community venue. You will be facilitating a group of ESOL learners to practise conversation using everyday topics. Each ESOL Conversation Club course will run for approximately an hour and a half for 5-6 weeks. This is a voluntary post which would be good experience for anyone interested in working with adults or children in a learning environment.

During the training, you will: – learn skills to manage a group of adults in a learning environment
– learn how to make learning inclusive
– have an opportunity to practise facilitating a speaking activity and get feedback
– get ideas for activities and resources
After the training, we will: – try to set up an ESOL Conversation Club for you, if you successfully complete the training course
– monitor and support you with leading an ESOL Conversation Club

If you are interested in this training, please email karina.kempton@redbridgeinstitute.ac.uk

(Please note that the conversation clubs we set up for you to lead will depend on your availability and the availability of prospective learners, so we cannot guarantee you a group.)
